Hi. Here's the thing: tomorrow is my mom's birthday, and I want to make her breakfast, but I'm not a good cook and I have no creativity.

Last year I made an American breakfast for her (4th of July and stuff), but it sucked.

Can you suggest something simple and good?

I love Gary Mehigan's flat pancake recipe. I used it for my mancave's b-day and it was AWESOME. It's simple but never fails to put some smiles on people's faces.

I served it with fruit (namely berries, coz we're berries addicted).

 

I also love his berry semifreddo & cookie sandwiches! Not as simple as pancakes but still feasible.

I am also on board with the pancake idea it's super easy! and if you mess a few up, you can always make more batter!

Neither have I...I've heard on a continental breakfast though, maybe it's that and it's just a different name for it? 

I'm on board with the waffle/pancake train. Throw some powdered sugar (if you have some) and some berries on those pancakes and it'll make them even better.

You can make a few adjusts if you can't find every ingredient: honey instead of maple syrup, walnuts/almonds instead of nutmeg and pecans.
