So, the end of the year is upon us and it's time to reflect upon this past year's ruckus of posts and look forward to the new year.

 

THE CODIES - WINTER 2015 EDITION!!!!

 

The Rules

1. You may copy the list below and post your nominations in this thread or PM it to me
2. You may only nominate one person per category sans Best Codex Couple
3. You may not nominate yourself
4. You may skip any category you want to
5. I will disregard any nominations in post or PMs that I find to be distasteful or jokes (ex: nominating one person for everything)
6. If you want to change your nominations please just edit your initial nominations post or if you PM'ed it repost the full list
7. You may give your reasons as to why you nominated who you did if you like
8. There will NOT be a poll, cuz I'm lazy
9. All nominations must be in by January 5th, 2016 11:59 PM NST/PST!
10. There's kind of a surprise when results come out.

 

Explanations

• Wooden Spoon - Basically the wooden spoon is a special award for whoever keep stirring things up around codex. They keep the drama of codex alive, with welcome or unwelcome arms from others. Love 'em or hate 'em, they help keep activity and drama up with the shit they do.
• The Golden Carrot - Best of the best of the best overall member.

best thread: this thread by @Rickster. initially thought as an abrosia glitch, the discussion eventually spiraled into something a lot sinister as more and more codexians fell victim into a scam by a mysterious hacker. finger-pointing... tears.. anger... a lot of things happened as victims desperately scrambled in search for the truth. thankfully, the perpetrator was caught red-handed soon after and both his neopets and neocodex accounts banned. it is a rare incident that ultimately bonds codexians closer to one another in the face of a common enemy.

next mod: @Maha. he's really critical towards any situation he's in as evident by his status updates and threads. he lurks most of the time without saying anything (like some staff members here just sayin') so i think he will fit rigggghhhttt in. he's gone through a lot in the past before he started metamorphosing into the @Maha we all know and love today. since he's been at the bottom of the social pyramid by being banned a couple of times (screw it, he's been banned 8 times), i believe he'll become a staff member that is very understanding and people-centric. #mahaformod2016

Best Thread: "Have you committed a crime" because it took a dramatic derailed train cliff dive into developmental psychology and ethics almost out of nowhere (not to say it wasn't expected, but the way it happened was entertaining) and even got itself an official announcement of its hiding from public eye.
