I would tell myself to invest in Apple/Netflix. Tons of other companies would work as well, but I know the price of those stocks has more than doubled in a 5 year span.

Apple? Really? Figured it would go down.

For reference: 1 Bitcoin = 539.97USD. I think their worth plummeted after some sort of burst back sometime between late 2009-2011, so I'd send the text to me in Q2 2010.

When is this text from 5 years ago arriving? Is it arriving any time within the last 5 years, or today? My life is drastically different 5 years ago compared to today.

Don't slap your friends in the face, you'll lose them and be more alone than ever. Get professional help for your depression before you do something stupid and end up in a mental hospital so that you can graduate on time and with your friends. Not a year after them.
5 years ago was not a good time for me.

Take your health more seriously because it will eventually catch up to you.

"Fucking buy those Bitcoins while they're still only like $10 you idiot, you're gonna regret it if you keep putting it off until 'later' like you always do".

A nude to prove that I'm still going strong.
Also that depression won't last forever, anxiety won't last forever, treasure Joseph until his last minute and get his number before he dies, infact get everyone's numbers you talk to online.

I'd tell myself that everything got better in high school. (which it did)

First to show myself that it gets better, that I really do become smarter, healthier, more skillful etc. And happier.
Then, to hint guide or somehow indicate to myself *how* it gets better. What needs to happen, where I need to go, what to do. In a way which I can somehow get it, and not ruin the process of growing up / life eithers.
If this sounds vague it's cos I'm not thinking about the details of how I'm gonna do it at all. That would be a thing indeed.

"Focus on things that make you happy and don't try so hard to force things to work out. Sometimes your eggs are in the wrong basket and you just have to move on. And be more outgoing, we both know you want to be."

stop giving up on things because you're scared, your relationship isn't the most important, continue dancing, stop using shitty face products, it gets better.
