I'd say anything above 270 can be considered impressive.
What # of avatars is an impressive avatar count to you?

300+. Next tier is ~315. The time it takes for that small push is crazy.

Currently shooting for 300 - that'll be impressive for me
So I just grinded out some tough ones: neoquest I and II, altador plot, cellblock, sewage surfer, kacheek seek, game graveyard, lever of doom, kelp, etc. They took waaaay too much time. But luckily I'm saving all the score-sendable ones so that'll really boost my avatar count when I end up getting them.

250+! I've stagnated after hitting 205 so anyone who manages more is cool to me.

300 is my main goal. But I admire who has avatars from album stamps

I was top 100 before I got frozen, that was a couple years back. I don't remember what I had, prob in 320s-330s, which was more impressive at the time. I never got the avatar collector avatar though, I would always seem to get bumped out of the top 50.

Anything over 300 shows very good effort in my opinion. I'm currently going for the 310 mark and it isn't easy, especially since the ones I have left are very expensive ones.

I only have 151, so anything higher than that is pretty impressive to me...

I think generally above 250 or so is an impressive amount.

It kinda depends on account age, retired avatars mean less to me these days honestly because they unfairly freeze so many accounts. I just see 'em as the lucky ones.
I can appreciate anything over like 290.

I think 250+ shows a lot of time put into it

I'm so close to the 300+ i can taste it. I think 250 was the mark where things got a little more difficult.

I personally think 350+ is impressive. You had to have been around a while, and still keep up with events to get the majority of retired avatars.

I've been playing forever but only recently realized how seriously people take avatar collecting after a friend explained it to me. Now, I have more avatars than her hahaha but I still am just under 200 avatars. That said, I'd say I find 300+ avatars impressive, especially if someone started collecting them after flash and has to spend a lot of neopoints for certain avatars instead to get that avatar count up. My bank account is HURTING yall hahahaha.
