according to IDB you can lose hp 1% of the time. I belive I have had it happen to my pet once.

I've searched this whole topic, and I've not seen a single recorded -hp, nor could I find a single screenshot of it occurring, and if you happened to get -hp from the lab, you'd probably screenshot it. I'd find it hard to believe it's a 1% outcome.
There is 800 replies in this topic, if we say 500 of those are actual results rather than just discussion (there'd probably be more since many people post for a few days at a time, rather than daily), then there should be 5 recorded -hp posts. And that's a really safe estimate... but there are none

Just because it's a 2% chance, doesn't mean it'll rarely happen. Learn probability.

Take for example something with a 1% chance. Theoretically you would think that after 100 tries at something, it would happen at least once, correct? But every one of those tries really has a 1% chance of it occurring. Meaning if you're unlucky, it could only happen once every 200 or 300 tries, or if you're very lucky, it could happen five times in a row.
