YES! At the current prices, you gain WAY more than you lose. Over the years I've been playing neopets, I've gotten way too much benefits from it like painted pets that are otherwise out of my money range and strong BD pets (with supplementary training) that have gotten me over 6000 points in the earlier wars. To list a few painted pets that I got over the years from the lab ray I got: Maraquan Kougra, Jelly Kacheek, Robot Grundo, Pink Kacheek, and Island Lupe. Those pets are not the only good zaps I've ever gotten. I firmly believe that the lab ray is a must for all accounts, even shell accounts.
