I am starting a lil thing called Codex Desktop that will be made in RealBASIC. Unlike all those idiots out there that call there desktops "Operating Systems". It will kinda be like Window's and Linux's Desktop and login. You will be prompted for your Codex username and password. If you are a member you will login. It will have its own programming language and stuff. Also it will have a drive explorer and some other stuff. If anybody wants to work on this with me just say so. Also I need some people for graphics and stuff.

Does it have to be a desktop? How about something like a program that turns on whenever the computer is turned on. Then you can sign in cause I'm not sure if my parents would like it to see something popl up everyti'me they log in.

It will have an option to auto-start after boot or not. The desktop is only a program. It is kinda like Explorer but just for Codex.

I won't mind doing sound if you're gonna have sound in it. I'm already learning how to make sounds and edit them with Sony Acid Pro 5. or music or whatever.

I'll try tommorrow morning. I'm getting tired. Oh yea, I forgot to tell you that I haven't fully learned all the techniques of sound editing and making. So... I'll try my best.

I'm liking this a lot. Then again, I'm skeptical. There are a lot of projects started around here that don't ever happen, I'm the head of one. I would like very much for this to happen, but I won't be surprised if it stops midway through. :(

I noticed that a few projects are like that. What ever happened to Hydro's invite mod.

Ok, I made a default wallpaper for Codex Desktop.

If any of you graphics artists out there want to make a better one just show me it and I will approve it or disapprove it. I am generally thinking a greyish aqua like scheme, kinda like the Default Invision skin, since this is how I want the GUI to match.

Or I can just upload it from here.  :nana:   I think I like my second sound (Welcome 2). I'm not the best at sound editing yet.  :ermm:

You can tell me what voice to add, take away, or to just leave it
Output 1 - Man Voice "Welcome"
Output 2 - Woman Voice "Welcome to NeoCodex"

Welcome
Welcome 1
Welcome 2

Make it less industrial, make it softer, only use a woman's voice and have it say "Welcome to Codex Desktop"
