With iPod's ever growign popularity. Some may think these are just a one hit wonder and that once everyone that wants one has it, it will become a legend. But iPod's are not the best product of its kind, it just happens to be the most advertised.


So the question is, Are iPods overrated? If so, what is the best alternative.

Not really but I don't have much experience with other MP3 players. But I love mine (apart from the fact it scratches too easily)

For Ipod mini yes.
Zen Micro or IriverH10.
Zen micro when they fix the headphone jack problem.

I'm using 4.07gb now on my iPod.

4 gigs is roughly 1000 songs. I have about 20 out of 30 gigs filled on mine

In the summer I'm gonna get a giant overhaul of music. I'll hopefully get a job in Virgin Megastores next month then I can get cheap CDs Probably blow my whole pay check...

My 4.07gb is 777 songs.

I've got Little Britain episodes which are about 30 mins each and Dream Theater albums. One song is 23 minutes >.<

I think they are hype, but maybe thats just me. I don't find a need for 20GBs worth of songs.

Yeah... why would we really need soo much space for songs? (but we can use it as external drive anyways )

What I really like about iPod is the design :3

I don't REALLY think they are overrated... probably the only downside to ipods are their battery life (which they are going to I'mprove 3 ti'mes as much... according... to... a technology news site I went to a while ago)

but yeah, I don't own an ipod (don't really want one 'cos EVERYBODY has one...) but I do think ipods are pretty good
