Better her then anyone else tbh, I mean, she has the money for the cure, unlike hundreds of thousands out there.

Cure? There is no real cure for breast cancer unless she gets it removed or has kemo or something... im not totally cluedup on cancer though.

Better no one to have cancer?

Yes I suppose she has the money, but still not always cureable. And well, sucks to get cancer :(

Just get it removed, just get rid of the cells inside. That's a good enough cure for me.

Not as easy as it sounds mate. Go through complicated process and stuff... and takes a long time too, not the operation but preparation and other stuff.

Perhaps Alexander's device would help her?

She's lucky they caught it so early. I know people are making a big deal out of it because she's a (highly irritating) celebrity, but it is really rare to get breast cancer under 40. She has my total sympathies.

And Lee, make any more stupid comments about cancer and I will warn you to hell and back. And im not kidding.

She's caught it in her early stages, it's not hard to have it removed.

Not exactly. She has a better chance of getting rid of it, but it's not that simple. It could come back much worse as a stage 2 cancer.

So it's pretty easy to get rid of basically. It could come back, but then again everyones got cancer inside of them, it's just what we do to make it active, like smoking, drinking, etc.

thats bs

u dont activate cancer by drinking or smoking

but its true that if u have lots of stress, it might trigger it

Yes it can come back. But early stages its less likely if they managed to remove it all :)

So lung cancer just magically forms inside of you? Ok, you're all talking alot of bullshit, go find me proof that there is no link between smoking and drinking and cancer, and if you was wondering, I was using an old saying not being literal, idiots.

Cancer is caused by carcinogens and free radicals, which can come from smoking, UV light, your genes, food or pure and simple DNA mutation. It's no one's fault they get cancer unless they smoke 60 fags a day.

The "cures" for cancer- removing her breasts. Both. How horrible is that? The other options? Chemo; in essence pumping your body full of chemicals, reducing your immune system in the vain hope that the cancer will be destroyed? Or how about radiotherapy? Swallowing radioactive crap in the same hope? Both making you horribly ill, and the chance you could lose your hair.. and neither of these is a bona fide cure?

And even after it's "gone", there's a large chance it can come back a few years later after spreading everywhere. Cancer is awful... don't treat it so lightly.

What's with the defeatist attitude? The only reason I treat it with such a light attitude is because people are so "scared" of cancer, it's like ultimate pain and death to them, but it someone contracts it should you automatically go into mourning? NO, make that persons last few days/months/years worthwhile etc, that's why I hate people's views on cancer, it's not like it's automatic death anyway, I mean what would you rather have, your breast removed or death?

Lee, it's not a defeatist attitude, it's a realistic attitude. You've obviously not had a close family member go through this.

No I haven't, I've had three go through it. Two of them had it removed and one unfortunately died of it. I've gotten over it, it was tough, but I just stayed optimistic and didn't have such a defeatist attitude, but fine if you wanna call it realistic, you do that. im just not going to give up so easily when it happens again.

Ok.. know what? I've tried to be optimistic the past few years. My really close aunt, who's almost like my second mum, got cancer about 5 years ago. She thought she had the "all clear". Then two years ago, she was given two years as it had come back and spread. I have to watch her health slowly deteriate knowing that at any point something could happen. She's not even 40.

I've watched other older family members go through cancer, but I have had my aunt's cancer at the centre of everything in my life for 5 years. Try being optimistic when every phonecall, every family visit, every one of my mother's mood swings is down to CENSOREDing CELL DIVISION.
