After moving servers, we wanted to upgrade our scripts to 2.0.4 from the previous version of 2.0.0. Doing so meant that no modifications would carry over and all of those modifications would have to be reinstalled. We (SL and I) have installed the majority of them (these are only the ones that affect you):

• Avatar Submissions
• Battledome Challenger Submissions
• PM logs/search
• Portal
• Board panel
• Members online today
• Quick edit
• Unread messages number
• Mergeposts
• Download system
• Custom HTML pages

We have also added a whole bunch of backend modifications that you don’t see. These modifications help the board run more efficiently, doing tasks that we normally do manually, automatically. Some take work and do it so the staff doesn’t have to. Some provide some extra features to make moderation and admin jobs easier.

There is still a lot more to do in the modifying section of Neocodex. For example, we still have to put up the codex checks and program a lot of the modifications that are still in queue. Some have been written and we just have to take those from our documentation and install them.

I simply wanted to give you an update on what we have been doing lately so that you knew that we weren’t neglecting codex.

Please bear with us while we go through this transition period of moving servers. It’s really taking a toll on the administrators as it creates a lot of unforeseen work. Plans that we had have to be pushed back until the more pressing things are taken care of.

We are going to be making a lot of changes to how NeoCodex works as well. Keep your eyes out for these changes. And as always, keep reading the news as this is how we communicate with you all.
