aw WLT - that sucks - I got that late in life (when I was 26) it's better to get it as young as poss

and netty - wow that's very intresting - I had exactly the same thought - but I'm not medically trained so just thought it was one of those odd thoughts I have every so often LOL

I got chicken pox when I was twelve. Count yourself lucky you got them this early in life, because if you get them when you are older, it will most likely become shingles and then you'll be really sick. :p

oh WLT a little bg info on viruses... the chickpox virus follows the lysogenic cycle

During the Lysogenic cycle the virus will implement itself into your DNA... and all new cells produced are produced with the trace of chickenpox attached... later on in life this can cause something or another... temporary... in lysogenic cycle viruses they can reoccur years later becuse of it.. :p IMO I fell cancer is not a mutation but a virus that follows the lysogenic cycle... perhaps cancer implements itself into your dna and then your children will have a higher risk of getting it because its already in their dna... :p random thoughts fo rthe day.. get well soon..

Now how would that work? Transfering mutations is not possible unless the mutation is in the gamete itself, then another argument would be sterilization, the entire theory seems a little crazy, though I may not know as much as you to argue.

Sorry WLT, I hope you get better soon. The Chicken Pox are horrible, and you can't itch them either, only thing you can do is keep rubbin on that lotion, and taking baths with that one chemical. Very horrible experience, though you won't have to go through it again. ^_^

I got it last year. I had a few spots on my chest one night, and I thought nothing of it. I had a fever though, so I stayed home. In the morning, I woke up with a ton of them. I hated them. You will itch so bad for the next few days. I stayed in one of those special bath things half the day. >_< I feel sorry for you. :(
