I recieve an error:
QUOTE
Codex Check Module Version: 3.1.4.0
DLL Set-up Error -RunCodexCheck- 0 - Please Check you have the Required files

I do have the required files though, all vb6 runtime files, the control pad, and the check itself. wacko.gif

After pressing Ok I get another error.
QUOTE
Code:0602-Reference:-608
Error: Run CodexCheck Failed

Any ideas, Mumei?

have you tried my test application?

http://www.neocodex....ownload-14.html

if that works and the some don't then those programs could be disabled or some such

if they all fail i will need your debug log

Check the required files section in the download system.

Download the files there, except the generator and codexchex. You then need to go into the CodexChex program and download the files mentioned in the description.

I have crybaby.gif its really peeing me off as i cud use on my pc n windows xp but for some reeason i cant do it on my laptop cud it b vista??

I have tested it on Vista and it worked fine as long as you installed the Control Pad and registered the OCX successfully

http://msdn.microsof...l/html/cpad.asp
is the Control Pad

http://www.ascentive...me=MSWINSCK.OCX
is where you can get the OCX, remember you MUST register this - the instructions are on that page (or you could run the install of all the DLLs in that page)

(note you will require ADMIN access or the administrator account to perform all the installation instructions)

that means you don't have access to this program - usually this is because you've downloaded a program that's been disabled (due to the programmer working on a fix/upgrade) or you've downloaded a program that's not available to your member level (eg an advanced member program when you're a standard member)

there are many criteria - all programs are ranked and are only allowed to be run by members of that rank or above.

there is a bug...
my system is XP Chinese Traditional..
can use this codec...
when i enter my account...
it said " logged in"
then when it wants to enter verify the program ..it always says "failure ...u cant use this program"

but when i change the control panel---non-unicode to english [america] / english [england]
i can use the program perfectly!

yes..thats all..
i dunno if moderator can fix it ^^
thanks

i think..this still has unicode bug...
my XP chinese traditional can verify every program that use codex..
but after i change the unicode language to English ...it can run the program that use unicode~~

I checked the FAQ, and this particular error wasn't listed:

"Codex Check Module Version: 3.1 4.0
DLL Set-up Error -RunCodexCheck- 440 - Automation Error"

Word for word, that's what it says... Now, I have no idea whatsoever that is supposed to mean. I have all the required files, it was working this morning, too... then it suddenly stopped after I got a virus alert ("Downloader" or something) and Im not even sure if that's relevant or not, just thought I'd point that out.
What happened here? (hahah, I'm about as technologicly advanced as a brick, and I apologize...)

I'd suggest fixing your trojain/dialer problem. Then do a system restore, and do another virus scan.

it means that you've got a problem gaining an internet connection - as mystical says, sort out your downloader/virus problem then check your firewall/router etc...

Ok I believe i have the same problem, I checked my internet connection, its all fine, this is what I get when I run a program:

The first popup says

Run time error '40006'
Wrong protocol or connection state for the requested transaction or request

Then i click ok this comes up:

Codex Check Module Version: 3.1 4.0
DLL Set-up Error -RunCodexCheck- 440 - Automation Error"

I don't think i got any viruses either...

As a jr programmer, I am confused Mumei. I added everything correctly to the form. (I went around the old way to add CodexChex to my program, but I get the validate error.

DLL Validation Error -ValidateCodexDLL-

Weird?

the CodexCheck is a Neocodex Logon check, you need to enter your NEOCODEX userID and Password
