You could just eliminate those accounts, at least.

I believe that the members that do spam and be rude should be given a chance for redemption, but doing it over and over again is ridiculous. So what happens to repeat offenders? Demotion? Long-term suspension?

It depends how serious it is... if it gets out of hand, suspensions will most likely be given out. Resorting to demotion is only a final measure that we may need to take if we are sure that person isn't making an effort to change their ways.

*laugh* I was thinking suspension would be worse than demotion. Jeez. Heh.

I hope everything goes well and this warning will be heeded and we won't have to do anything drastic.

Yeah, with suspension it is a mere "time-out". A demotion, however, is permanent. :/ (until it gets earned back)

The whole idea of holding a higher status on the board is not just all about the other areas you can access on the board. On the board, higher-ups are supposed to present themselves as mature individuals who have earned their way to the higher status they hold.

The bottom line: If staff feel you cannot handle having your rank because of immaturity or attitude problems, it will be taken away from you. My suggestion to those who fit the category: shape up or face the consequences. Private member rank or any other rank is a privilege and not a right. Neither is your membership, I may add.

This means I suggest you take your quarrels and flames elsewhere as well. If you can't handle keeping things to yourself, then you don't have to be here either. The staff and administration at Neocodex have had enough of the behavior we have seen from certain people on the board and this reminder is something you should make sure you understand because it will not be repeated again.

~ Neocodex Staff and Administration

this aint about me is it?

Pruning in my opinion sucks because we lose records of everyone who joined the site before. People who joined up and want to come back will not be able to. :(

Pruning always caused problems. :p

yeah pruning sucks, I was pruned once and had had to bug shadowlink for my account back :p

but hey I'm actually active now ;)

Why do people think its all about them. Lets take into consideration the past few days:
  • Me - I made a complete ass of myself and flamed
  • Magnus - Argued with an admin
And from what Darren posted, he must of contributed some way.

Hey guys, lets get off the idea of hogging the badness and looking for the goodness in everyone? I think that is what SL was trying to do in this topic :)
