Well as of now, it hasn't mutated yet so that humans can catch it. So.. they are fine as of now.

It is very serious IMO. W learned tons of stuff on this this year, and if, just if it mutates, that is a very thing.

i think bird flu is a little overexadurated.. i mean its a bad thing but they are keeping it under control pretty nicely. Im sure it wont mutate or if it does we will have vaccines in time.

If that mutates... it'll be bad, very, very bad >_<

Fortunately it's a lower resperatory disease and that's very GOOD but if it mutates to an upper one... we as humans are ****ed :p That's why it's not spreading so easily now is because it's too low in the lungs.

o.0 Interesting point Fred...

Um, yeah... not worried at all.
Like Tet says, it's too deep to transmit easily... and if it mutates into a higher respiratory disease, we instantly have effective drugs.

So... I'm not emmigrating just yet.

wow that sucks... summer is coming near and the flu will spread on because birds now will be able to fly to America.... I heared once that it said that bird flu is already flying to New York where I live :(

Once the bird flu viruses the parrat then thats it... because parrats can pass it on to humans but birds cant...

Um... what? A "parrat" is a bird.
The H5N1 strain can pass from birds to humans already (albeit with some difficulty), no matter what species the infected animal is.
The real worry (which in my opinion is still miniscule) is that the virus itself will mutate to be transferrable between humans.

Far as I know, parrots aren't involved. -goes to google to check-

Parrots are tropical birds, and bird flu isnt in any tropic locales.

Actually, a parrot imported from Taiwan apparently -did- have the disease, but there was no inferences to it being any more dangerous than from any other bird.
