Stupid neopets!!! I have like six accounts that I haven't been on in a while, I'm trying to get back onto them and it's asking for my birthday!! MY BIRTHDAY!?!?! Aargh!!!

Naturally, I've made most of them up because I don't trust the fricking stupid site, and now I'm suffering. But how many other people must do that!? The most STUPID security peice of shite yet. -Really- bugged me. Rawr!

¬¬

Discuss how stupid and annoying this is -_-

I lost 6 accounts that way :(.

They did it so people who use account crackers don't get 10k cracked accounts a day

Wow, I better go check on my other accounts!.. would it be possible to make a program that would test all the birthdays possible? If so, might be a good idea.

There's 30 days a month, 12 months and lets say 35 years. That's 12600 posibilities, assuming that you get infinite tries and don't have to wait an hour after x wrong guesses you'd have to leave on the program for a longgggg time :p

It's more like 106 years :p because it goes to 1900, and after about 5 you have to wait an hour. So yah, it sucks >-<

Yes, well you can rule out everything under 13 yrs for guessing(no one likes those accounts ;) ) and we doubt people over 45 play it sooo... there, that cuts down a lot! Plus, a good proggy can guess say 100 a minute with a good connection.

Right, Stupid TNT with their stupid birthdays! :p

I do! That's the annoying thing! >-< I think it's because the account has been inactive. It asks for my username, fine. It asks for my password, fine. It comes back, asks for the password again and the blooming birthday ¬¬. Not fine! >=(

Not shouting at you >-< Just so you know ^_^, just silly neopets has me all annoyed <_<

There IS a proggy for this... can't say where though.

If you have the right password, it's unlimited guesses...

Make a new account and save your 'non-obtainable' accounts as friends so at least you'll be able to see the ages of them. Once you get that, at least you narrow it down to 1 to 2 years = 730 MAX possibilities.

Naah, I don't play anyway. Me and Fox wanted to advertise a site we have on the boards at neopets, but didn't want to use our main accounts because it's suuch a lame reason to get iced <_<. But you can't go on a board with an entirely new account -_-

I keep a plain text file with all the information from all of my accounts. It would suck if someone found it, but otherwise its very useful. Plus, I use basically the same username in most places, so they'd have a hard time figuring out which account meant what and whatnot :p

Oh, I do that as well.

The text file is named "accounts" for any of you looking to gain access to my computer.

Yeah, well I had the birthdays of these accounts written down >-< But I think I wrote them down between the time I'd backed up my files and the time my computer was reformatted, so it was lost :(. I seriously remember thinking to myself 'This works, I have all the info' but it's gone -_-.

My spares did the exact same thing. So much for creating some, and then leaving them for extra proggy testing >.>

That makes me feel like such a dork :p. You played in primary school and I'm at Sixth Form :p. Meh, I generally get into it when I ought to be doing other things, like revision :p. I wanted my accounts to advertise my site on the boards ^_^.
