Overheating ?
Check the temperatures of things such as your proccessor, your hard drive(s) and your memory - as a failsafe, it will sometimes reboot to try and stop it from frazzling

Chances are you computer is overheating. Get a new fan installed. If it is in a corner, bring it out so it's more open to the air in your room, orr... what I did [because I'm cheap], is use a fan that I put next to my bed when I'm sleeping [it's tiny], put it onto of the tower so it's aiming down, and it actually worked lol

ORR, Open the case up. And leave it.

ORR, Open the case up. And leave it.
But then static electricity could damage your ram and such.

waah i have the same problem, my comp is in my room my overhead fan broke a few days ago this started happening after my fan broke i think so it is most likely a heated problem with mine :\ my virus scanner blocked a trojan and i scan like everyday so it isnt a virus.
it also restarted every time i tried patching maplestory ;.;
waah!!! T^T

Ha i had the same problem a few times.
1. Fan isn't pluged in, make sure its working.
2. processor is loose make sure its in tightly.
3. Hard drive is wrecked.
Just go over your computer and make sure everything inside is connected and tight.
Leacing your computer open wont ruin it. Ive run mine open on many ocassions and my dad hasn't closed his since he fixed it (awhile ago).

ive had this problem before. bad hard drive. it could be a number of things. over heat. Is ur comp in an enclosed area with little ventilation? Ive built a little exhaust pipe for mine, dropped the temp when playing bf2 by about 7 - 10 degrees C.
