I'm straight, and I laugh at most people who claim to be Bi.
Hate? Not really.
In talking to them, I find that they weren't too ..... successful with being popular, and, in trying to be accepted somewhere definitive, they turned "bi" (never gay/lesbian, ever) for the attention, even though on the inside, they never had such feelings.
I see this mostly in females. Bi guys are definetly 100% gay, but use Bi as a safety net until their self-esteem rises to the point where they no longer care about society. Most straight guys seem to prefer the loner route over teh Bi-claiming route, seeing as how it's a rather damaging aspect to attribute yourself to as a man. However, people see Bi females as universally hot, so there isn't any downside.
This is my personal experience dealing with people during my years of Junior High, High School, my first two years of college and my next door neighbors (Bi chix, 4 of them). Nothing is fact, just intelligently deduced conclusions.
I can see why you see it like that. There are a lot of people who use the bisexual card for attention or to hide the fact that they are gay but there are a lot of people who are are really bi. And it makes me sick to see someone play around like that.
