google surely does, but you probably know more acurate stuff, right college boy? also you need to go on a vacation to St. Thomas you will have some serious fun and you will eat saltfish 2twice a day.
2twice eh? Is that code for 4 times ? Because the prospect of 4 meals a day is too great to resist!

No, it's not a type of fish - it's a way of preparing it - ie: salted and dried and used in various recipes. Usually it's codfish to start with. It's also part of the national Jamaican breakfast of Saltfish and Ackee.
...?

I was born in the tuna capital of the phillipines, so Im quite used to it. We have this dish called "kinilaw" (KiiiiiiNiiiiLaw <- all short vowels), anyways its cubes of tuna eaten raw but is served marinated in onions, lots and lots of vinegar and ginger as far as I know. Sashimi and sushi are awesome
And if saltfish is a way of processing fish, it could also be the sundrying of freshly caught fish. The seawater evaporates leaving the salt in the fish, which makes it taste salty. We call it "bulad" (its Bu-Lad not Boo-Laad <- all short vowels )
In Spanish, bacalao, in Portuguese, bacalhau, in French, morue, in English,
saltfish. Salt fish is made from varieties of cod: cod, ling, saithe and tusk. It is
a dried and salted fish which retains all the good qualities of fresh fish – only
the water has been removed. Soak them out to make wonderfully soft fish cakes.
Traditionally eated in Spain, Portugal and the West Indies. Very fashionable.

Saltfish isn't a type of fish It's a style of preparing fish, used to preserve the taste during freezing... you just load it with salt, and it's cooked when you need it, and the head of a codfish isn't ugly... what the bark are you getting on with?
If that doesn't work, click this:

What's ugly/gross/disgusting about that?
EDIT: Wait, I thought you didn't live in the carribean You sound ghetto :/
And besides, living in the carribean has nothing to do with it, we eat it here, too.
EDIT AGAIN: BTW, I live in Newfoundland. My fish knowledge > All of yours.
