I was wonding if you could setup and ftp server using a dial up connection. I setuped a ftp server but only I can access it. Could someone please help me with this?

Usually if you're on a dialup connection, you're behind quite a few layers of firewalls, namely those provided by your ISP...this will usually make it really hard for you. I had this problem while I lived in dorms because I was behind the school's firewalls.

It can be done still, its just a bugger to set up and takes a fair bit of work, you need to find a house near you with wireless so you can muck about with them. Im pretty lucky the neighbours have wireless so I can test everything off there internet.

Yeah I contacted my co-owner and he say we block ftp connections. So I have to save up some money after I buy my grandmothers powerchair before I get dsl.
