As dual core chips come out you dont really have to wait for 5ghz chips. Cool video by the way! ^^

yea but dual core's bearly help anything (snappiness wise), and its not like it doubles clock anyways, so

also, yea the video is a Intel 3.4 northwood heavily overclocked on LN2 (liquid nitrogen)

Its still pretty cool, it could probably be done without the LN now anyway, I no this dude who hosts a fair few servers, and he has like 5 proc's in one computer all stacked. Ill find the specs for it.

I found the pictures tongue.gif

What are you talking about? Intel's Conroe/Core 2 Duo clearly helps everything (snappiness wise) because of the way it works.

So what if it doesnt double clock, you can run more than one graphics/CPU intensive program at a time.

The duo is abit different I think.

meh yes hawk, but im talking related to the thread, im saying 5ghz isnt going to happen for a long time because chips are getting better, conroe for example, sure it helps a tiny bit, but new chips these days can run windows xp so easily nowadays, there is a small noticable difference if you're not gaming/encoding

Pentium M = Dothan, single core
Core duo = Yonah, dual core, dual core version of pentium m, non-conroe
Core 2 duo = Conroe AND merom (mobile conroe)
Core 2 extreme = conroe extreme edition (X6800)
