Actually, now that I think of that, doing something like that is actually slightly ballsy, because you're complimenting her and then putting yourself up to her level or above. Still, if it's a random girl, that'll most likely not work. That is school hallway material perhaps though.

the main thing any girl would want is love. Women want to know they are special, they want to know that they are loved. If you can get a girlfriend, ignoring her and treating her like crap will never make the relationship last. Here's an example, from yours truly:

I met a guy earlier this year. From the things he does, how he treats me, within like a week of knowing him, I liked him so much, that we became 'special' friends. Now. What did he do that made me want to have sexual interactions with him? Here it is: He loved talking about me; he would always ask me "what are you thinking about?", even while I was.... 'servicing' him. It felt good that someone was interested in me, and not only thought I was beautiful, but always made sure I was aware of it.

I was taught in one of my fancy university classes that the most fascinating subject for a person to talk about is themself. If you have a conversation with someone, and only try to talk about them, they will most definitely enjoy the conversation, and it will be awesome for any budding relationship.

my best advice would be to become the best of friends you can with her, get to know her more; with the advice i gave above, try talking about her lots, asking her about herself, become interested in everything she does.

then while you are making friends with her, make sure to keep the friendship out of the "only friends" zone. try to keep it a bit more..... "dating-esque". you can do this with small simple things, like telling her what you think of her, or that she's beautiful, or giving her some flowers or something when you meet up to hang out. just let her know how much you care for her.
