IMVU is a 3D Messenger. Usually full of sluts trying to find someone to pay them for service, but you might find the occasional person that isnt talking to get credits for their avatar.

hmm.. not too familiar with IMVU, but I remember seeing ads on neopets of it.. when i didn't have premium

That is interesting. If I did IMVU I'd probably try and annoy them, but I don't, so I'll just be amused by the knowlege instead.
