They're just doing it to get noticed and to make them seem powerful xD
They're so poor people in N.Korea, South Korea has to give them food or people will starve. North Korea won't attack unless unprovoked.
But knowing the Bush administration....

Usa has China to worry about in the event of an attack against N.Korea. Though at this stage, even China can't ignore the actions for much longer.

N.Korea is trying to be the big bad guys. They'll be paid off and things will die down.

You're blaming the Bush administration if something happens? Knowing Kim Jiong Il's behaviors he is classified by many as insane. Bush or no Bush it doesn't matter. Many people have even argued that without the numerous landmines on the border to S. Korea they would have already invaded it. North Korea doesn't HAVE to strike and they probably won't strike. China and South Korea as well as Russia will probably take them down very soon because they do not want to risk a bomb controlled by Kim Jiong Il which could kill millions if it was aimed at the right city. China is.. you could say a hard ass. They will not let a risk like that happen... And if I were the leader of either S. Korea or China I would do a surgical operation to take out their nuclear facilities IMMEDIATELY. You cannot trust this man with that power.

North Korea can flex it's muscles all it wants. Fact is, they don't have the resources to sustain a war, not to mention the US will just out-spend them in any sort of arms race they could participate in.

Absolutely and China can and will in all probability introduce economic sanctions as well which will absolutely kill North Korea. China sends a great deal of money to N. Korea to help fund their government as foreign aid and one may argue that money is the one thing holding up the N. Korean country from absolute poverty and economy crash.

However while this is well and good it doesn't stop the North Koreans from bombing anyone, really. Sadly this can go many ways. Japan, China, Russia, and S. Korea are all very upset and are going to upscale their diplomacy and try to collaberate on a sure solution on what to do with them. Then they will all introduce economic sanctions as well as the US. Later on Japan as well as several others will urge the UN to take action which of course.. they will not. Japan and South Korea will attempt to make a nuclear bomb as well for protection in the long term and in the end it could possibly end up being a completely nuclearized Korea.

But this comes with risks. North Korea will become even more impoverished than it already is especially with China reducing foreign aid and they may become desperate for money. Just like the Pakistani man who stole and sold technology to them, they may in turn begin to sell technology. This is an extreme danger to the world really.

Currently this is a dire prediction however it is definately a possibility we HAVE to consider. The US doesn't have to do anything and honestly I don't understand why the US is brought up in this discussion. It is very doubtful they will get too involved outside sanctions and mediation. The surrounding countries will take care of it all and I do hope those countries take action before it's too late. Military intervention to just destroy the nuclear facilities would be in my opinion the best action.

...okay. Done with my long essay.

I'd have to disagree. You have to have some level of concern with this especially on how it will effect Asia and its defence system. This is a big problem for nations surrounding it especially South Korea and Japan as they are probably prime targets. But this can also be a good thing for some parts of Asia because Japan, South Korea, and China are starting to put aside their differences and work together on solving a problem. But that will all change if Japan decides to begin producing nukes. >_<

So yes, I do think that this is something a lot of nations should be concerned about. This isn't exactly something to blow off and say "meeeeeeh... who cares."

Earlier I heard that the U.S. embassador of (somewhere overseas), said that if N. Korea nukes Japan or S. Korea, it becomes the U.S's problem. >_<

Does anybody realize just how small N. Korea is? One nuke and they would be gone. Not to mention they are right next to China which is the biggest army in the world, whom would hopefully step in. If N. Korea even pretended to shoot off a Nuke they would be dead like really quick. haha.gif BRING IT BITCH!!!!!

They do not have the power to do such a thing. The longest range missile they have can only reach Alaska plus the fact that they need to be able to get the nuke less than a ton of weight so that they can attach it to the missile. So far they are nowhere close to that... YET. But we are safe from attack currently but quite honestly I am concerned about the Asian world, not the American one.
