I'm a Linux user, so this EULA doesn't concern me, but there is alot of you Windows users out there who plan on updating you OS. Read this before you do so:

http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=158
  • No benchmarking (or no real-world applicable benchmarking)
  • No virtualization allowed for Home Basic or Home Premium edition allowed (ex. VMWare, Parallels)
  • When virtualization is used with Windows Vista Ultimate, it's forbiden to use any DRM-(dis)enabled file
  • Windows license may only be reasigned twice (ex. you can only install Vista twice with the same license key, you install it on computer A and later move it to computer B. You can't move it again on computer C nor back on computer A)

LOL - thats a bloody joke your not aloud to publically release any benchmark tests! god, this is going to be bloody brilliant isnt it. I personally know someone who was actually on the programming team of vista, he quit because of the stupid shite they decided to put in place, this must of been some of it. god this is so terrible. Linux is the future and they know it!

The Windows License thing also seems like a real bummer. Doesn't concern me much though; was never planning on using Vista. tongue.gif

The license thing pisses me off, really.
I'm the type of person who reinstalls Windows every few months, just to keep everything running smoothly.
dry.gif Meh. Stupid Vista.

They are trying to kick hobby coders out of driver programming slowly. Hobby coders can't screw with the kernel in Windows Vista 64-bit version.

Is Vista still free? If so, anywhere to get it other then torrents and p2p networks?
