That was sooooooooooooooo cute! I doubt the thing died. Of course in the real world he would have but I don't think this was meant to be dark beauty. It could have been, but I don't think this was a last moment suicide piece for the kiwi

Yeah, that was awfully heart warming. The animation was also pretty damn impressive.
I am kinda convinced he does die, or else it would take away from the 'kawaii' of it, but I'd love to believe he didn't. I'm so watching that again.

Nothing happened. The author wanted it to end not knowing. He implied that he hit the deck.

Im pretty sure the author ment for people to assume the bird died. Very sad, judging by some of your replies you really didn't consider the deeper meaning of his actions
