When using the lab ray, can you pick a certain pet to zap so your other won't be screwed up? And how much does an average FULL lap map set go for?

Yes, you can choose which pet to zap, so that the others won't get messed up.

The last time I checked, each piece was about 90K or so, so the entire set should be a bit above 800K. I'm sure an active Neopets user would be able to give a more accurate price, though.

nah, is separeted the price changes depending of the part, most are 55k, but there's one that is like 70k cheapper, if the piece cost 75k just go and search again until you get like 60k, or you're going to be searching for the piece that is more expensive. I on my acc that was frozen got 7 pieces I was almost with 8 and in like 3 days I was going to get the 9th than I got frozen =(

some are 60-75k yowza.
use padora's autorefresher.
it works great
use the spider refresh option, leave it on for 2 hours, and you may have 2-4 map pieces!

well probably more.
but i would only run the refresher for 30 minutes.
then take a 10-15 minute break
then start another 30 minutes.
repeat!

You must have been lucky with that, I don't think that every single time you boot up the auto-refresher it gets you 2-4 map pieces, o.o

well i did use accounts that were 1 week old.
e.g:
i made 8 accounts all on the same day
then i set all the birthdays to different days.
ok i will get more in detail!!!

I used it on my 2 weeks old acount, on its birthday, and i got tons of codestones, and 3 petpet lab map pieces, but no lab map pieces.

and how do you set the birthdays?

When you first register the account. And possibly in the prefs section, not sure

You can't change birthdate after you sign- up. Best to maybe write it down if you aren't going to use your own birthday (or a date you're sure to remember).

Oh and a piece of advice is, if the question of the topic has been thoroughly answered and the topic is older than a couple months, it might be best to look to another topic to post in, if you have your own question that hasn't been answered, you can easily make your own topic Bumping topics is ok as long as it's still relevant, and I'm pretty sure the topic starter has had their question totally answered now.

well, while trying to stay on topic, im just going to say avoid autorefreshers for finding map pieces, or anything for that matter, just cause of freeze rates nowadays

when buying map pieces though, check out trading post, i was able to get a full set of pieces for like 325k, which i think is a pretty solid deal
