I have no idea what you just said? You bought new ram, and you're installing it into your comp and your question is should you keep or toss out the old ones? My say is the more RAM the merrier. lol

if you run them together they will both run at pc2700, it may run faster with more ram, than with less ram at a higher speed though. do some test's with super-pi and some other benchmarking software to see which helps your computer more.

Any recommeded software? Also running a 256 MB pc2700 + a 512mb Pc3200 won't effect anything in my PC right?

I completely miss read, kinda skipped that they weren't the same. Yeah, don't mix save up to where you can afford another pair of 3200. But thanks for the flame i <3 you too.

You'll be fine. The PC3200 will underclock itself to run at PC2700 (won't affect the longevity of anything AT ALL), and it doesn't matter if you mix sizes, unless you want to run in dual channel.

mixing it would NOT cause any damage but i do not recommend that...run the single PC3200 alone might be better since you say your pc does not support dual channel...

mixing not good, not even good at the same speed, I've tried mixing ram, 4 different sets , all the same speed, and theres always been a problem with it
