Parents that are overly protective.

I think overprotective parents are okay to an extent. Your parents are just trying to show you they love you, blah blah blah.

But calling you 8 times a day, needing to know where you are, who you are with, when exactly you will be home, and what you plan to do is unnecessary. A lot of us (I think?) are in our mid to late teens. We can handle ourselves. Yeah, the world is a bad place, but part of the process of becoming an adult is figuring that out for yourself, without mommy and daddy to walk you through it every step of the way.

My mum used to be, but I think she's sort of given up..

I have friends whose parents are WAY worse though, some of them have never been to a sleepover OR invited friends over for sleepovers, because their parents were worried. Bleh.
