Soo young, that's too bad. I was hoping it wouldn't get to our kids, but I guess it is now sad.gif

As if there hasn't been a gay 13 year old before this tongue.gif . It's good that it is becoming more socially acceptable for people to be who they really are.

Why? Why do you people make me choose between siding with Urban, or with Christianity?
It's got to be Urban this time... Christianity has killed more people tongue.gif

Anyways, up until now, I was happy that the Arab feast thread was doing better than this one, but now it got bumped sad.gif

There's a difference. People don't get arrested for saying they're gay. Personally I think he made his own stress as well and I don't think it's that big of a deal. A lot of people get funny looks by people and I got teased horribly all throughout middle school and I never got an article. I mean really... go through what? He doesn't seem to have that much tormet caused by his own classmates so... what the hell is so bad about it? He felt different, I did too. People teased me because of my physical appearance which was much more obvious. There are millions of children like him who feel akward inside and some are really bullied harshly. I don't see how this is much different.

blink.gif That's like... the same thing I said. Except with less people making a fuss over it. Because they like you better. Because you're totally hawt.

I think it's:

I love you, you love me, let's gang up and kill barney, with a baseball bat and a two by four, fuck that purple dinosaur

See... it's a thing called tact. Make an extremely long post so that no one knows what the fuck you're talking about a ramble a bit about your own experiences and barely even talk about the fact that he's gay and then you shall win. Oh. And it helps that I'm female. We're attention whores don't you know. Even over the internet we ooze our female nature from our pores so you all favor us much more than your fellow males.

Actually it's...

tic tac toe
three in a row
barney got shot my a g i joe
baby bop called the doctor and the doctor said
ooooo barney's dead
ooooo barney's dead

Is it just me or are there more gay percentage as our society becomes more modern. I could be wrong.

Another urban + gay post I presume.

After reading it again, I suppose I have a new outlook on the article. It's good that it's becoming normal, but this is also in Massachusetts (hello, we're the only state to legalize gay marriage), and why does this kid get an article? Isn't our goal as homosexuals, TG's, etc. to become considered normal? How can we possibly be considered normal if we get articles that focus on our sexuality making it seem so absurd that something has to written about it?

I guess another point I'd like to bring up is that this kid didn't really endure any hardship when he was in the closet and after he came out. I know guys that have been thrown out of their home after their parents found out about their sexuality - that seems like it would be more effective then a short biography on some kid who just happened to be gay and nothing in his life became significantly worse after people found out. Sending the message that his life was better after he came out suggests that there's nothing wrong America's few on the homosexual population when there is.

Also, the thing about the girl telling everyone had to be expected, right? I mean, when I came out at my old school it spread like wildfire, and here at my current school when people discovered that I was, it also got around quickly.

Yeah, I've changed my viewpoint on this article. This kid is a legit attentionwhore.

Not a greater percentage of homosexuals, but a greater percentage of men and women who openly identify as gay rather than keeping it a secret.

Look on the bright side Urban. The story could perhaps show people that are in the closet that they don't have to be afraid of embracing their sexuality?

A lot of people like this kid are afraid of coming out of the closet, because they are expecting people to treat them completely different. The article at least shows that most people won't treat you like a freak.

As I said before, this is in Massachusetts, and you do know that hate crimes and verbal abuse in schools relating to sexuality, race, or religion can result in expulsion. It's in our bill of rights, or something.

If he wasn't gay in the first place, then everything would be fine. gay people are weird and are mad fun of. They are made fun of and imitated as a joke at my school. I make fun of them, my friends make fun of them. They are queer and personally should not exist on this earth.

If that boy was not gay he would be accepted, he would possibly have a girl friend, he would not think about suicide, he wouldn't need to explode for no reason at his parents and need a psychologists. All these problems would go away if he was not gay. Gay people cause to many problems.

Thats my opinion anyways.

...and I'm NOT gay yet I felt the same feelings because I was different. I at a point attempted suicide. This happens to a lot of people who don't fit into a society. It's not because they're gay. Why in the hell do you feel the need to make fun of them because they're gay?? If you hate them so much then ignore them. That way they won't interfere in your perfect world.

Are you even being serious? If you are, you have a seriously fucked up view on how things work. I don't even want to attempt to refute your point, because how is that even worth my time. If you wild like some scientific evidence about how a person ends up being gay, I can give you tons.
Please tell you honestly do not think it spreads, and do not make it some giant disease epidemic.

Oh wow, you need some help. You are a moron, and clearly have the inteligence level of a fly. You know what I think, since you are a moron...you should not exist on this earth.

That is just my opinion anyways!

Just because someone is different from you does not make them worthless. You, clearly, are not in college or nowhere near that level. When you are presented with diversity, hopefully, you will change your attitude. You have the attitude of someone who has no worthwhile life experiences, and I hope eventually you will learn how things work!

I think I should inform you too, that if you ever manage to piss someone off bad enough by saying the shit you wrote above, they will take your ass to court, and you will regret it big time. You will be paying that person your wages for the rest of your damn life :-). Don't think because you are underage that will save you haha

Ahh Rogue, I agree, but clearly he is uneducated, and missing a lot of the values people tend to learn the hard way by growing up a little.

As far as the Article -

I must say as a bi individual, I find this stupid. However, I know why the New York Times is running articles like this. They made a promise to some gay rights group to provide more homosexual related articles. They agreed and are following through with what they said, which is amazing.

Hating someone because of their sexuality, has come to the point of being a waste of time. it is the same as hating someone because of their race or religion. You do not have to glorifiy, or even care to be influnced by anyone who is gay, but why hate someone just simply for that?

I did not just wake up one day and choose to be Bi, it does not work that way. I cannot help who I am attracted to, and I cannot do much about it. For someone to hold that against me is not right and that person is a waste of my time.

blink.gif OR they could always... not take them to court? And he IS underage... he HAS no wages to speak of... And what are they going to sue him for? Hurting their feelings? He could always just get an expensive lawyer, win the case, and then run the person into the ground with debt, because loser pays court fees... Just my opinion rolleyes.gif

Also... it's his opinion... I don't think he can be sued for having an opinion, anyways. That's like suing a gay person because they like guys, and in their opinion, guys are sexually attractive.

I think that if gay people didn't exist, the world would be a better place, but I don't think we should make an attempt to get rid of them... or that they don't have a right to exist. I just think the world would have a lot less conflict if there weren't gay people.

Also, Alias was just being Alias. He's allowed to have a viewpoint too, and he's not wrong. There's not official scientific evidence that proves that causes of homosexuality, in fact, they are begininning to say it's a case by case basis but in most situations it cannot be prevented.

Keep the flames down and stay on topic. This isn't the place to debate about how "homosexuals came to be" and it most certainly is not the place to criticize the sexual preferences of other members. Debates belong in here: (http://www.neocodex....ating-f213.html), and that still does not include flaming.

God made a man to love a women and a women to love a man. I occasionaly watch Jerry Springer and see how a gay man attacks another gay man. The way they fight and talk, you call this a man? I call them animals. If you accept gays, then you are just as much of an animal as they are.

Just my opinion. wink.gif
