yeah...so this happened in my school yesterday...thought it was really funny...listen up...well everybody arrived at the school normally on a very normal day...we went into the first lesson which was science and out science teacher said that he will be gone for about 15mins as he needs to check on something and told us to just sit there and talk quietly...which i found very unusual indeed...anyway he returned after about 20mins and said that the school water supple isn't working so the school has decided to send every body home rolleyes.gif ....every body was like...WAHHHHH...i mean what the hell does the school need water supple for in school apart from toilets and cafeterias...so yeah me and some other friends were looking for some other friends(lol) around the school and we saw police around our main teaching block...we were really suspicious than and as we were going towards the teaching block a teacher came and told us to clear off immediately and started shouting to other people around us as well to clear off and that it's really serious...but we didn't know what was so bad about not having the school water supply working properly...
so we went to school today and some people and even teachers are saying that what really happened was that some body sent the school head teacher a e-mail saying that there's a bomb planted in the school somewhere and so they called the police to check the buildings and stuff...but it probably was a prank e-mail or just a rumour but that's what i have been hearing around me...lol...so have any weird school closures happened in your school yet???

Most likely a prank, but I guess it's the same as someone setting a fire alarm off for a prank, you have to go through all the safety precautions no matter what.

Anyways, nothing tops that, only time school has ever been closed was when the boiler was bust and it was the middle of winter so they couldn't have anyone in D=.

This is almost exactly like my bomb threat topic. Different topic title, but the question is the same.

My school was closed once for a bomb threat (hence why I made the topic, just like you) and a wind storm/power outage

Yeah but we had to cram everything in so we wouldn't have to take up our summer holidays...
But the time after Katrina was NO fun. No air conditioner in Mississippi is NO fun....

Wtf. blink.gif You got out of school all day for a bomb scare?

We get a minimum of two each year and all that happens to us is evacuation out onto the school oval for about 30 minutes.

Yeah, she's very lucky, I mean she gets school off at the small price of a city being destroyed along with many lives and homes.

I think my school has had one closure in my time there, because of snow. BORING! Even when it's blizzarding you're still expected to get in, even if you have to wake up really early. tongue.gif

Once, the fire brigade came because somebody burnt some toast in the sixth form diner and set off the alarm. That's as exciting as it gets. tongue.gif Except for the time somebody came into school and stole two bags, but that was whitewashed over so the little kids wouldn't freak out I think.

My school was about to close because the water supply had been messed up. People weren't allowed to go to the bathrooms. I checked the fountains and no water was coming up. We had about ten minutes before school would close but they some how fixed it before school would be allowed to close.

Well, here in Louisiana, it doesn't snow. Like... Nearly ever... In my memory, it's only snowed twice in my entire 17 years of life.

But I remember this year, there was this night everybody was saying, "ZONF IT'S GAN SNOW TOMMOROW!"
And conditions seemed right.

And here, if it snows, the entire city practially needs to shut down.

So school was canceled for that day. But there was no snow at all xD

Once in high school we got kicked out of basketball practice because the cafeteria caught fire and school was closed the next day cause they had to clean the water out of the cafeteria.

Thought I'm not in high school any more, I hear they've closed like 6 times already because of bomb threats and guns. Actually two days ago they closed the whole school district (elementary, middle, and high school) because of a report someone had a gun.
