Reliable and easy to contact.
They have won lots of awards. 24 hour support.
Pretty cheap, not bad.

yes codex is on hostgator but they pay $75/month so explain that and look how much they could pay for $9.95/month. As I said before HostGator isn't that good.

I don't know man, I really like them . We've been a hostgator customer for almost two years. We only recently moved to semi-dedicated and never really had problems before that. We only had one server load issue but I think that was highly our fault .For what its worth, I like hostgator a lot and will probably stick with them for all my hosting .

But you are paying to much for hosting solutions that you can get else where

When you use a host like HostGator, you're basically paying for their reputation and credibility -- you don't want to host a big website like NeoCodex on an inexperienced web host.

If you are trying to get Faraaz to switch Codex to your host, that won't happen. You run a single semi-slow shared server with not that much memory.
HostGator is incredibly experienced in this business, and truly but sadly, you are not.

Yeah HostGator has the reputation. They must have done something to get that great of one...

Ink I think you are just miss understood, I am just saying that you get all of that in hostgators baby plan and when it comes down to it all your site will be terminated in a week if it uses too much resources and cpu usage. Like Codex.

Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at hostyours.net.

I think that pretty much sums it all up.

Yah, I constantly can't connect to it either.
Plus iSmurf, why do you care so much about Codex's hosting? If Faraaz DID switch to another host, that wasn't HostYours, then it wouldn't affect you whatsoever, thus deeming this topic pointless. However if he DID decide to switch to HostYours (which he won't) it would affect you, deeming this topic purposeful.

Hostgator seems to be pretty darn reliable, though yes, codex is too large for a 10$ plan
