So I finished reading "Animal Farm" for my English class. I thought the book would be so boring and stuff but it was actually one of the best books I've read. Basically it's about a bunch of animals on a farm who start their own community and produce their own food without any humans. The whole book is an allegory for the Russian revolution. It's a really easy read I finished it in about an hour.
Anyone else here read this before?

Very good book. I love the author, Louis Lowry. I've read most of her books.

I read The Giver in elementary school and loved it.

Unfortunately, I've not yet read Animal Farm, though it is on my to-do list. =P

It's a good book. You should try and read 1984. It's harder reading, but it's amazing. Although I honestly prefer Down and Out in Paris and London happy.gif

Urgh.. I hated every minute of Of Mice And Men when I did it at school... I think studying and analysing every sentence in a book kind of takes the magic out of it dry.gif OMG RED DRESS=DANGER.

Sadly I didn't get the chance to read it in class and I'm not the kind to read a book just like that, well it happens, but rarely. Instead of animal farm we read of mice and men, which is good, (by the way, this was last year in 9th grade) but whatever.

its a good basic book to learn how to read if that made any sense. not saying its a basic book or anything. just that it really starts to teach you how to pick up on multiple meanings and to read between the lines
