I know... it costs an arm and a leg for americans... but for europeans, it isn't nearly as bad to catch a last minute flight to there.
Personally, I've just always wanted to go... so I am. I also think planning a lot of it a year in advance will help people with their budgets...
I definitely agree. I'll simply say that my spending money will divulge into a vairety of things, but yes, if I plan a year in advance, I'm SURE I can collect the money. Put me down for a "Maybe", pls.

And Rambo ofcourse i wna go for the weed, its legal there.
Also yeah like id advise people be 18 to go on this trip, as you wont be able to enjoy all the "pleasures" unless you are.

I think we should all get accommodation as a group because they will normally do discounts for groups

I tried to arrange a meeting with Em when I was there last year, but she got grounded so the whole thing failed Maybe Cody and you can somehow come to London we can have some sort of Codex UK meeting(is that what they're called? ) with other UK codexers. Because let's face it, who wouldn't want to meet me?(*cough*all of codex*cough*)

I think this trip is more than just a codex meetup, though.
It's really just me wanting to explore The Netherlands, and I figured there had to be more than just me who wanted to visit. (I had spoken to a couple of other codexians who had said they planned on going sometime within a couple years... so I just said bark it, let's see who else wants to go.)
I would love to explore... I mean, god, any country and city has to be better than where I am now. UGhhhhhh.

Things I did that were AWESOME:
Heineken Experience (where beer is born! Loads of fee samples!)
Red Light District
Weed museum + sex museum (I think they're both in the red light district)
Van Gogh Museum
Canal Tour (maybe.. it was fairly interesting...)
Coffee shops! Many of them! Especially the Grasshopper, which is probably the best bar in the world. And the coffee shop that's made to look like it's undersea, with dolphins and fish tank lights.. awesome
Amsterdam Dungeons! But don't do it under the influence of anything. You'll die. Seriously. But it's fun.. and there's PIRATES!
We had a bbq in Vondelpark with some random americans, which was a lot of fun.. and cheaper than eating out in a restaurant.
There were also some really cool markets and things you could spend entire days browsing. And obviously, there's all the bars and shows to see. Don't bother with anything Rembrandt because it's just dull and brown... but that's just my opinion. I didn't go to Anne Frank's house, but that might be interesting.
Oh: You don't really need to be 18, no one checks for ID because they'll assume you're old enough if you're foreign. My friend was 17 and had no problem. I was only asked for ID when we tried to go into an over 21 place... and we were never gonna get in there anyway

But even if they do ID you when you buy it, it's easy enough just to get an 18+ old to buy it at the counter for you if you're in a group.
