Are you barking kidding me?? You don't ever throw back a cray. They sell for heaps o.o They taste gooood.

We dont fish for Crayfish so they go back straight away....usually with the hook still in their mouth. They are pretty clever too actually, quite often they will cut the line themselves with their claws. Cray fish are a pest in the UK, people dump them in fishing lakes and you end catching them instead of your real targets.

Nobody answered my question about the Bullhead..... rolleyes.gif are they spike/thorns on its head?

Depends on which fish species and lake and which region of the United States. Bass in California can get over 20 pounds, here in Minnesota the highest is almost 9 pounds.

Ok, time to bump my fishing topic. dry.gif

Basically, I went today, and only caught a really really tiny fish. I was hoping for a meal. sad.gif Oh, and then we got caught in a rain storm and had to hurry to shore because we were on a boat, haha.

Nice..... I imagine a lot of fishing must go on in Newfoundland. tongue.gif Was it lake fishing or was it actually in the ocean? (not sure if NFLD has any lakes, since it's kind of an island.. laugh.gif)

Okay, time to brag about my fishing trip blink.gif

I did a 3 day trip (Sat night, Sunday, Monday). Caught several bass with the largest being over 3 pounds, caught a lot of Northerns, largest weighing in at over 8 and a half pounds, and I caught a few crappie. Everything was released, and its all good smile.gif

On Monday night my dad caught a Northern that I thought was larger than mine, but the nets we had were damaged so we couldn't really land it safely/effectively, so we took pictures with it in the water beside the boat. It was barely hooked and spit the lure after 2-3 pics. He thinks my largest Northern was bigger, I think his. Either way, they were both large. smile.gif

Nice... Why release though xD I usually keep the decent sized fish... for trout, that usually means +14 inches.

xD We've got... ponds blink.gif That turn into rivers that go to the ocean blink.gif And we've got... ponds that don't turn into rivers o.o Well I suppose they must, somewhere, because all water is supposed to lead to the ocean or something, but whatever... I dunno the difference between a lake and a pond... We just call them ponds. I'm sure we've got lakes too 1we8.gif

It was in the ocean tongue.gif And there's a fair bit... good couple of dozen boats out in the bay we were in... and there's more places with better fishing, with way more people there... then there's the damned people that fish, and take all our precious wee codfishes to sell to the big stores, and stuff... causing US to lose our chance to fish because they're trying to preserve the population... even though it's all the big fishing companies fault dry.gif

I fish out in Laguna Beach with my dad sometimes over the summer. We'll usually catch Corbina, Sand Sharks, and something else that I forgot the name of. I'll edit my post if I remember what it is. :x Sand Sharks are awesome though. They're about 9 inches long and have very little teeth that don't hurt if they bite since they have a weak jaw. Friggin' awesome to put in front of an unsuspecting persons face and watch them go batshit. Lol.

Went camping a few weeks back and fished most of the time. We did good, not 2 hours after we had set up camp me and my dad went out and came back with 5 good size trout. It was funny because no one was catching anything because they were all fishing the lake in mid day (not a good idea tbh) but most didn't know there was a stream that connected the two lakes right over by the dam which is where we caught all 5 trout tongue.gif I ended up catching around 8 total the 2 days we were there.

Come to my house blink.gif We go trolling (sp?) in a pond up off the highway... We don't keep anything under ~14 inches, unless it's chunky... and we usually keep a good few fish every time we go up for a few hours (~3)

a bullhead is a kind of catfish. they dont really have stingers. theyre actually spines in the fins. i used to go fishing all the time when i was small with my friends. we always fished from the shore since we were poor. we would catch mostly panfish but when i got a little older we would mostly catch large/smallmouth bass and trout that ppl stocked in lakes. occasional catfish

Ughhh I hate fishing.. It's so boring to me. I usually go with my dad and my brother and when we go it's just quietness for 2+ hours. We just sit there, and wait. It's not relaxing to me, or peaceful, it honestly drives me crazy. D:
