Alright so my birthday is coming up relatively soon and my parents wanted a list. I gave them one that had 4 DVDs on it, an iPod case, and a white Macbook(I'm desperate for a laptop). They said "A macbook?! There's no way you're getting that!". I was sort of expecting them to say that sense they think I should only have a laptop for when I get to college, but I was sad nonetheless. Anyway, I was bouncing and catching a tennis ball off my mom's ceiling(she wasn't home), and I didn't catch it after my 50th or so bounce. It bounced into my mom's closet and I went to go get it. I found it sitting right next to a brand new, unopened, white Macbook!! It wasn't covered up or anything, it was just leaning against a corner I grabbed the tennis ball, ran out of my mom's room, and went into my room. I'm so happy!!

Man thats pretty cool! I found out early on a few presents, most of which I accidentally fell into and ended up tearing a hole in the paper.

Well I remember a while ago it was my birthday and I didn't know what I was getting, and everyday I would walk down to our big storage garages, sweep the dirt to the side and cleaned everything up. And our garages were full of lots of big red metal poles (don't ask) and so it was my birthday and I walk down to the garage and my parents unveil my birthday present, an outdoor go-kart, and it was right infront of me everyday with just the engine covered up and the red rollbars showing, I guess I had been on automatic mode and didn't really pay attention to my surroundings, pretty much slapped my face when I realised haha.

I am sure you could probably find some of the games on the web. I remember mouse trap, lady bug, donkey kong, smurfs.

Yeah I'm not one either. If I ever find a present, it'll always be accidently(like this was). I may have gone searching somewhat when I was young, but not anymore.

I always used to peek at my presents before christmas time. I would cut the tape and then retape the present. My mother caught on. The year after everything was in random cardboard boxes so I couldnt peek

It wouldn't be much of a suprise then wouldn't it? That's how I thought most of my childhood and still do, so I always wait until the day of.

Well I never got much in the way for my birthday because it's really only about 16 days away from Christmas :\ But oh well, I didn't mind so much My best gift though that was non-birthday was my graduation present which was my nice VAIO laptop which had a nice widescreen and good graphical capacity for my photoshop work Best functional gift ever. Haha.. I just hope it lasts the 4 years ^^;

I am in the same boat as you. I am 19 days before Christmas so I always got the combined gift which never really seemed to equal 2 gifts anyway.

Mine is even closer to christmas. I was almost a Christmas baby. But I always got double presents. I tried talkin my mom into having my birthday in the summer time so I would have money then too so I could buy clothes for school and stuff but she said no

Actually those 7 year old kids who get something are lucky. There are lots of kids who come from families that really dont have a lot of money, nevermind money to spend on gifts

Well I was SUPPOSED to be a christmas baby and therefore be a tax excemption for them however I refused and was stubborn My due date was... something like Dec 22nd I thought I remember my mom saying.
