cons: Shipping, loss of items, dodgy ebay sellers, can take quite a while, usually no warranty.

So you would rather have the satisfaction of knowing you can return it at any time and are willing to sacrifice a price difference (Occasionally quite large, like on TVs, Best Buy is a rip off compared to online stores).

I think when people buy things like TV's it makes them feel better to be able to touch the one their buying, and have the definitely location to return it to if it screws up. Its a lot of money to risk, no matter how small it is.

But most retailers have good return policies if whatever you purchased is damaged. There are even very reputable online stores like Newegg which blow Best Buy's prices out of the water.

For someone who is online so much, I really am out of the loop when it comes to buying online. I'm definitely going to keep it in mind for next time I need to buy something.

What it is/how much cheaper it is then in stores.

I always make sure to check ebay as well, might get a even better deal.

I never check ebay, it just doesn't seem like a completely safe way of getting something. I prefer going to a site like pricegrabber and finding the best deal on the item I want.

I guess my cousins have a friend who got in some deep crap cause he sold a picture of a video ipod to someone for $200, and they obviously reported him. What a stupid scam

as long as you buy stuff from people with good high ratings you should not have a problem. I have bought a couple dozen items from ebay and haven't had any problems yet.
