Thanks! I knew I was missing something. I just didn't want to neomail people who are trading and ask dumb questions. Usually get ignored that way...lol

Wow I did not know that. Glad I found it out. But that would suck having to wait for an auction to end to get your item. And what if someone over bid you?

I do think that would be too risky as well unless it is someone you know or have dealt with for awhile, I definatly would not do it with someone with an account less than 12 or more months.

You can bid up to 800k on the TP, and I think 50 mil in auctions.

um.... I think it is way too much to trade something that is 1 million, and I think you can`t do that.

You can trade in pure neopoints up to 800,000 but you can bid on an item worth 2 million by bigging 800k + an item or so worth 1.2 million.

Preferably ETS's (easy-to-sell) [PBs / Morphing potions]

good luck?

or you can make a neofriend only auction for 1 hour and just set a time and date with that other person

the highest you can aution an item for is 20m

the maximim you can auction an item is 20m...10m price with 10m increasement.
so the fee goes up 10m everytime somone bids, so it could go up to 100m+, however if you had an item worth 100m would you risk putting it in an auction for 20m?

people who want a 100m item, just bid like 10 SOS or two T-TEAR PLUS 4 baby pbs on the TP

i think they put the 800k rule there so that no-one can transfer large amounts of neopoints quickly

Oh and use neofriend only auctions so you don't get out-bidded.

You can do that, or let's say you're buying an item worth 2.8 million. Then you can have the starting price at 1.4 mil and then 1.4 mil increment, then the buying price would be 2.8 mil. The person who is buying the item would bid, and then the next bid would have to be 4.2 mil, and no one is going to over-bid by that much so the buyer is pretty much guaranteed to win the item.

But I hate dealing with auctions. Out of the last 3 times I've used the auctions, 2 have failed. One time I was selling a Krawk Trans. Potion, and the person buying it had bid. Near the end of the auction, Neopets went down and when it came back up, I had lost my potion and the guy had lost his NPs. The second time I was buying a Grey Paint Brush. But this time, Neopets didn't go down, it was up the whole time, and I lost my NPs and the person I was buying from lost their paint brush. x.x

did you have it reported it to TNT? or at least tried?

It's hard using the auctions for transferring large amounts of np. If anyone sees a crap item with a good offer on it, they report it immediately and you are bound to be screwed. The best way is multiple trades or 99k priced items in the shop.

Honestly, I have yet to have a problem with transferring neopoints, under any circumstance. I either play it off as a relative being kind, or I act as though the person is stupidly overshooting the worth of a trade. If I have to trade something valuable, though, I usually ask them to put something into their trade as collat, so that when the second part of the trade needs to be done, I use their item and they can bid the rest. If they don't agree to that, then I tell them to use the auction to bid the full amount, and if they still disagree, then I don't bother to trade with them. Using the auctions is quite a bit more risky, however, thanks to TNT stupidity and whatnot. Oh well; it's always a gamble.

oooh yeah collat's a good idea... i totally forgot about that so basically if you have something you want to sell for a mil and they want to pay pure ask them to bid 800k and something worth 200k and then you trade back the 200k item for the remaining 200k smile.gif good idea smile.gif
