I must say, it sounds tempting. Though it seems if you aren't the first person in your area to pick up on it, you won't make anything.

For each referral you make, you have the potential to earn up to $10 ($2 for the approval and $8 for the verification)
As long as your earnings total at least $25 a month, you'll receive a monthly check.
Don't think you will actually make a lot of money this way. Unless the company verifies the information, which I don't think every business will do. But you never know.

The big problem with it is not taking the pictures or getting the hours and whatever else... It's that you have to talk about Google Maps and Ads and such with them. Honestly if you go into a lot of places and you tell them you want to talk about something like that they'll say "no thanks, not interested"

"This includes $2 when a business referral is approved by Google; and $8 when an approved business verifies that the information you submitted is accurate."
So basically you get the money if the business gets online and actually verifies it... the chances of that hapenning is slim to none. You'll probably be talking with a front desk assistant if its a fairly large business, and that person won't do it. And if its a small business like a store, chances are they'll forget or are computer incompetent.

A lot of places get really angry if you try to take pictures inside. I know around my area, we have a large chain of convenience stores (Sheetz... anyone in the Northeast?) Well, I'm from the hometown and you'll get yelled at and ask to leave if you try to take pictures inside the place.
:\ But who knows, that might just be one place, but I always thought you weren't allowed to take pictures. I always used to get yelled at by our Mall security too for taking pictures inside the mall...

It seems to much trouble to be worth doing it. If you were someone who went to local businesses every day in order to sell ads for your company, or do some other sort of thing like that I can see how it would be a good idea to make some money on the side while doing your daily job. But doing it just for $10 each business seems so much of a hassle. Getting the business to participate and sign up is one thing, but having them go online and log on themselves AND to take images of the business? I don't think it would be worth my time, and I don't think the businesses around my area would be very willing to participate.
