So, since Simon's topic was deleted,

I like to drive. Fast. But I don't speed. I'll always keep at the speed limit, unless its to keep up with the rest of traffic. Everyone goes 70 in a 65, so will I. 80 in the left lane of our two or three lane highways.
From a dead stop I like to floor it cause our pretty 5.3l V8 goes VRRRRMMMMMM

Discuss your driving habits.

Usually I will go about 5 mph over the speed limit especially on long stretches of road. Sadly I still find people tailgating me. One guy was about to hit me if I didn't speed up to 50 mph on a 35 zone. I think he was drunk :\

People tailgate me... I brake. Hard.

Only for a second, don't want them to hit me tongue.gif But enough to make 'em jump out of their skin...

I'm the best at gear changes. It's like playing NFS.

Simon's topic?

I normally do the speed limit +/- 3 MPH.

I'll speed on highways or freeways, but I won't speed in 30 MPH / Residential zones.

Takes me over half an hour to change gear tongue.gif My gear stick is at least six feet long, I'd swear tongue.gif

I will drive the speed limit in residential areas, but on the highway its pedal to the floor. I will for the most part find the fast moving cars and duck in with them. Never good to speed all by yourself. Learned my lesson with a couple 100+mph tickets and a lengthy suspension.

Don't floor it in an automatic =P They get confused and bark themselves over.

I myself have an automatic solely for the reason I am in traffic on both my morning and afternoon commute to and from work. Its about 50 mins both ways and I am only going 17 miles. I would much prefer a stick shift but not as my daily driver. I will be buying a challenger as soon as they come out next year but it will have a autostick so its a automatic but you can still shift it so I guess thats better then nothing eh?

Mmmm Chris thinks I drive totally barking crazy, but compared to you guys I'm not that bad.
I usually speed everywhere I go, depending on the situation//traffic//cops or lack thereof.

I have an automatic, and it's a 4 cylinder, so I don't do much high speed shit.
I don't really care either, the car has lasted me for over 3 years.
I like it and it's awesome.

I get realllllly mad on the road though. I slam on brakes when people tailgate me, especially when I'm already
speeding. I think it's somewhat amusing to watch them freak out.

Hee.
I'm a barking moron on the road! LOLS.

((which is why I need my license plate to say KTHXBAI !!!!!!))

I'm 16 and have had my learners permit for about a month now. I don't dare go over the speed limit. Although, I'm having trouble with parallel parking and my mom says I go around turns too fast, but thats why I have my learners permit. smile.gif

I'm a decent driver for the most part.. I just tend to drift to the right, especially when I'm on long stretches of road. I'm getting better, but it tends to freak out passengers cause I've almost gone off the road a few times. >_>

I have trouble staying in my own lane.

>__>

especially when changing lanes, I look back to see if there's any cars in the way, and when I look forward again, I'm already in the lane I was changing into. XD

I also hate it when people pass me..... when they think they're all cool and pss me cuz i'm goin the speed limit, I bust out with the turbo and leave em in the dust.

Very good driver. Perfect record (other than one ticket that actually prevented an accident). I even know how to check my tire pressure and change my oil smile.gif

I drive relatively carefully but sometimes i misjudge something or i'm not familiar with a place and i don't see the faded white line i'm supposed to stop behind...

also i don't drive on highways alone much my dad forbids it for now and i don't drive at night often and frequently forget that i have headlights tongue.gif but i remember last minute biggrin.gif

driving a stickshift is fun tongue.gif and i took my test on one.

I'm a careful driver, but who doesn't love to speed? Areas I don't speed in are residentials and schools. I haven't recieved any warnings nor tickets and hopefully won't recieve any for awhile.

I used to be obsessed with going as fast as I possibly could, and should have died about seven gajillion times because of it (Thats OK, I made great time! D=). But that was when I lived in rural/suburban areas. I live in a city now, so I can't go as fast or crazy as I used to unless its in between the hours people leave the bar and the hours people start going to work.

I usually go 15 to 20 above speed limit on the high way. As long as there are people ahead of you going at a similar rate it's not much of a risk at all.
Only problem is I don't have my name under insurance til November but I still drive around anyways.

Maybe you need to get that checked out in the shop? Could be due to poor alignment.

I tend to drive pretty fast. I prefer my moms Hyundai accent since it's a manual. Wickedly easy to handle and park as well tongue.gif . My truck can pick up speed pretty fast though (Governor at 160km/hr though dry.gif )

As for other knowledge, I'm not bad. Can deal with the oil, transmission fluid, tires, bleed the brakes and a few other things.
