Greetings Neocodex,

As some of you certainly know, we like to be fair and offer multiple chances to people, despite what some more harsh (and more realistic) members may say. We often will unban previously banned members, give people several chances before even SUSPENDING them and generally overly kind to troublesome members.

Quit abusing our hospitality. There are some people who act like complete and utter fools on the board. It does not achieve anything and our staff is tired of dealing with all the crap. There are many who are for the idea of 'once banned, always banned' and frankly, that policy is making more sense all the time. Admittedly, we have some members that were previously banned, who make wonderful contributions to our site, so it would be a shame to have to put this into effect.

Neocodex is not the place to exact your revenge. It is not the place for people to harass others, ESPECIALLY about issues not even regarding the site. Myself and the entire Neocodex staff is done putting up with it. We don't want your jealous fits or your lovers spats on the site. In the words of the typical e-troll (or acronym at any rate) GTFO.

Thank you,

The Neocodex Staff.

If you reverse a banning maybe it would be a good idea to limit them to only areas where they want to be good contributing members of the community before allowing them full access back?

What, like limit someone to only General Chat?
That would be pointless blink.gif

not at all, i was referring to more like if they are programmers or GFX to limit them to those areas. Not much sense bringing someone back for the sole reason of just general chat since they can not offer all that much in terms of help in the community as the others could.

You're a turd burglar. Sylvester Stallone is one of my favorite actors! I just wanted to post a picture of him. rolleyes.gif

I really think "Once banned, always banned" is a good policy. Some people who were banned for causing trouble come back and resume starting problems. Seriously... I was told to avoid causing problems when they let the most problematic member back on the boards dry.gif

Can't you just ignore them though? (literally put them on an ignore list)

Nope, cause then I'm paranoid about him talking shit about me. So I end up viewing the post, and then I get the urge to reply to it.

Maybe you could unignore him, but then ignore him. What I mean by that is to not use the ignore feature on him and to just plain ignore him. If you have an urge to reply to him, don't. It's really a mental thing. Plus, the member you're talking about rarely ever says anything bad about you from what I've seen. It's moreso you who says things bad about him(just being honest, pl0x don't hurt meh).

The ignore feature allows you to still read the post if you so wish, but it's a deterrent from you posting and replying. It's helped me with my own conflicts with people greatly and I reccomend it to anyone who is having such conflicts. Basically what I mean is that if you can't keep the subject off of past grudges kindly please do not reply. Or reply, write the post and don't press submit (believe me, just that reeeeeeeeally helps)
