QUOTE(IMDB)
A young man named Tristan (Charlie Cox) tries to win the heart of Victoria (Sienna Miller), the beautiful but cold object of his desire, by going on a quest to retrieve a fallen star. His journey takes him to a mysterious and forbidden land beyond the walls of his village. On his odyssey, Tristan finds the star, which has transformed into a striking girl named Yvaine (Claire Danes). However, Tristan is not the only one seeking the star. Lord Stormhold's (Peter O'Toole) three living sons not to mention the ghosts of their four dead brothers all need the star as they vie for the throne. Tristan must also overcome the evil witch, Lamia (Michelle Pfeiffer), who needs the star to make her young again. As Tristan battles to survive these threats, encountering a pirate named Captain Shakespeare (Robert De Niro) and a shady trader named Ferdy the Fence (Ricky Gervais) along the way, his quest changes. He must now win the heart of the star for himself as he discovers the meaning of true love.

Seriously, one of the funniest films I've seen in a long, long time.
Definitely an addition for my exclusive DVD collection.

Not at all what you'd expect, and laugh-out-loud hilarious in places. Michelle Pfeiffer is brilliant, but Robert DeNiro is absolutely the stand-out star of the show.

Jonathon Ross's wife is a fantastic screenwriter, and I eagerly anticipate more!

I have to say, I did not expect this movie to be good. I saw it with my mom on her birthday because she wanted to see it, otherwise I probably would not have seen it.

It was a really good movie. I really enjoy movies like this, and it's been a while since I've seen one. I wasn't ever disappointed throughout the movie, and I liked the way everything came together. They were a lot of parts that made me laugh, and the actors did a really good job.

I thought this meant to be a fantasy movie...it should be magical and lame like Harry Porter. I'm quite amaze to know it more comedy than fantasy, it sound like that from your comment >.>

Are you implying that all fantasy stories are lame? blink.gif
Goodness me... there are countless great books and films that fit squarely into the fantasy category.

And yes, this film is 100% fantasy, but it's also hilarious, and it's also brilliant.

It was a little different from the novel =P But I loved it nonetheless. Michelle Pfeiffer won me (only because shes my favorite actress =P) over but I also LOVED Deniro
