The school board I was in wouldn't close school down until it was below -40C (-40F), if blizzard conditions were obstructing the vision of school buses, or if there was too much snow falling on the ground that they couldn't clear it in time.

That would leave about three or four days of school missed, but surprisingly only because of temperatures below -40C and maybe the odd blizzard.

I didn't get a snow day even though there was a flood warning in the district. But my mom said I can stay home anyways

Snowing snowing snowing! *dances* I hope there's a snow day tomorrow. Probably not since my school is insane >_< Problem is we have a lot of commuter students that come from an hour away so it's a bad idea to leave school open when it's been snowing all night and we have a crappy plowing system.
