Saw it the other day. Seemed like it was missing something, though overall it was pretty cool.

It would've been a great movie had I left the theatre 5 minutes before the ending. It ruined it for me =[

Went to see I Am Legend this evening. I was really looking forward to it. The story seemed great and I think Will Smith is a great actor so all things pointed to a great film....and it was. I felt a little robbed in the end though.....everything seemedto come together far too quickly for my liking.

Well worth a watch though thumbsup.gif

I thought the ending was ok. Another mediocre movie with Will Smith though.

The film was so slow paced! I kept thinking Jesus this has had a slow paced start....but that continued until the end.
I even saw a storyline emerging that didn't actually exist, but probably would have made it more interesting:

I thought it was a decent movie. It was pretty slow pace for most of the movie, but when I got to the end, I was kind of shocked and sad that it ended that way.

I was going to see this in a few days but now you've told me its got a bad ending I definitely won't. I am fussy about endings, they have to surprise me and keep me thinking about them all night....like SAW 1.

The whole story doesn't sounds dissimilar to 28 days later which also had an ending I didn't like tongue.gif

I watched the first 5 minutes of it online and I did not get what was happening. Though it was kind of dumb of a movie, lol. It's reminds me of those movies where one American man kills an army of bad guys and saves a girl which in the end with she cries on his soldier and then they are under the sheets, haha.

I dunno, overall I just didn't get much or it and I can't really say if it was good due to me only watching the first 5 minutes. I can say, however, that it did not appeal to me. tongue.gif

it was a phenomenal movie and i will definitely watch it a couple more times. my only complaint is that the whole reason that the book was named "I am legend" is absent in the movie :\.

i believe the ending was on point and necessary to fulfill the tone of the movie. (click spoiler to read my point)

this is because it is the type of the movie that unveils the background story as it goes along, in this case primarily through robert's dreams/flashbacks. by the way, you're first sentence assessment is incorrect and that is not how the movie plays out at all.

I thought it was a good movie. Not my absolute favorite ever, but it was definitely entertaining.

Anyway, I think it ended better than The Mist. thumbsup.gif
Not as good as Vincent Price's. smile1.gif But that's because... it was Vincent Price, damn.

the infected were not necessarily smart, except the alpha male (the one who setup the trap, knocked robert's car over, tracked their home, bashed the window open). he was chasing him because robert took his "mate", the alpha female

i didn't see The Mist, was it as badly made as The Fog?

I never said it played out that way, I am just saying that's what the movie, from what I saw, reminded me of, haha. I realise the movie is nothing like that. It was weird because in the beggining he is in a car chasing deer with his car and shooting them at the same time. Something around those lines.

Pretty great movie, I reccomend it. I confused this with Omega Man though so I was expecting 'The Family' and for the movie to be different tongue.gif

I felt robbed too at the end. My dad was like "Part 2 of the story is coming now". 5 mins later "WTF it's ended".

I watched the film yesterday and the only bad thing about the film is that it finished too quickly, if it had another 20mins it would of been a close to perfect film wink.gif

I think it's major flaw was that it was based on a book. A lot more could have been done with it had it been an original story made for film.

because it based on the book doesnt mean all elements of the book needs to be followed 1we8.gif
