last night Three Days Grace was in town... I'm not exactly a fan... actually - before last night I didn't know who they were.... lol (I don't listen to mainstream music...) but a friend of mine had her cousin back out on her at the last minute and asked me to go with her. It was quite the experience! It was the second concert I have ever been to... the first being Elton John in the Calgary Saddledome with my mom. Well Seether was there, who I actually DO know, I like a lot of their songs, so I bought one of their little t-shirts. I also discovered I know one of three days grace's songs, and it's actually on my mp3 player as well. (who knew?? lol)
Aaaaanyways, me being the big nerd that I am, I had to take in the sight and study it... This type of concert is a lot different from Elton John, and I'm not just talking about the whole being patted down at the doors by security... The energy these guys put out on stage, they way they move.... it seems somehow.... erotic. >__> Watching the first band's singer, he did this little hip thrusting thing one moment, and that was.. well, it was interesting. I had never really felt that feeling before of "OMG! there are famous people creating music in this very room just for us! OMG! HE JUST SAID LETHBRIDGE!"
Another funny little thing I noticed and couldn't help laugh at... at the end of the song, almost instantaneously, the people on the floor would stick their hands up in the air with that little hand gesture thing, which I only know as what Hawaians use as 'hang loose', which to me appeared to be like a bunch of little meerkats standing up in a field.
So I was wondering... assuming you all are normal (unlike me) and have been to your fair share of concerts, what was your first concert like, what was your impression, and why do you like to go to these things?
