featheralley is a household name for the average neopian. But it didn't get that way over night...

How did featheralley make a name for herself on Neo? How did all the famous Neopians get famous?
I've been playing Neo for awhile now but have yet to find the secret. Do you get 30+ trophies? Do you dominate in wars???

What's the SECRET?! ninja.gif blink.gif

You know, I have absolutely no idea who featheralley is. XD

There are famous neopians other than what's-his-face for his avatar?

Have very powerful pets, have lots of avatars, have lots of trophies, and do something that no one else has. Any of those things really, mainly the last one. Like featheralley was the very first to defeat Kass in the meridell war I believe. I think that's what made her a 'household' name.

Featheralley got her fame by having the strongest pet in Neopia. And she only even got THAT far because she was around back when Faerie quests could be asked for.

I don't know why you'd want fame though. It's overrated. It draws way too much attention to yourself, meaning you can get away with less, or you suddenly become scammer/beggar bait, or even worse. Then there's the people who are jealous of you and do whatever they can to get you frozen. D;

Not worth the effort. D;

Oh, don't worry, the famous people dont get frozen. Cript did a study on that. blink.gif

Yeah, once you've made a name for yourself, your chances of being frozen will drop since, well, Neo will think you really are THAT good. wink.gif Well, at least that's what I think.

Or they need your name to attract other players smile.gif.

That seems like the more likely thing Neo would do wink.gif.

I think I agree with the "do something no one has done before" thing. It would be easier if Neo gave prestige to honorable things like announcing it on New Features if someone broke the record for 20,000 HP... (Yes featheralley shows off her records on her pet's page but Neo doesn't.)

didn't featheralley get hacked anyway?

also, back in the day codestones only cost around 500np a pieace, so training was *pretty much* unlimited.

*sigh* it's so much harder now tongue.gif

you literally *have* to cheat to get anywhere decent!

Indeed. I already have enough trouble keeping my accounts safe without all the extra attention from TNT.

Wow. Codestones being the price that's in their description. That's a snipe now-a-days!

Not true about the chance dropping dry.gif
I was "known" at neoboards, since I had a darigan krawk with royal and halloween stuff, a mutant draik and two other pets(one of them was strong, since it was my training/zapping pet). Well, after I got known I was frozen dry.gif

Being famous isn't good because if you use programs, it will be easier for people to find out...
