Oh, I wasn't implying you were insulting anyones religion its just if it weren't for us listening to older people we would still all be cave men.

Oh I mean old people, as in people that lived in times such as the inquestion. or how ever you spell it. And to be honest. We would be far more advance if people like Einstein, newton, and galalayo (or how ever you spell it) were not as scared of the church. Einstein more of a respect thing though...

First of all I would just like to add: LOL!

Yeah, there's nine if you count pluto.
You can't observe earth in the sky unless someone puts a mirror on the moon. Wouldn't that be cool?

Secondly, there are mirrors on the moon (left by the Apollo missions I believe). They're used to bounce lasers off to work out a more precise distance from earth to the moon. It was also used to (slightly) disprove Newton's understanding of gravity.

And on 'polar shift', geomagnetic reversal (not polar shift) is very real but won't happen again for at least another 1000 years by which time we probably won't be here anyway so no need to worry about it. Physical polar shift is also a possibility but on a much larger timescale (maybe hundreds of millions of years...).

Raui, thank you for bringing in some facts here. All I was going off was how ridiculous this sounded. Glad somebody around here knew exactly what was going on.

Also I have a friend who has studied the "reptillian" race you described in your emmy nominee "Most Harsh Mod Post Ever". He is actually a really interesting guy to talk to. Didnt work out so good.....We ended up using mercurys location to disprove newton and YAY to relativity theory.

I am in no way insulting anyones religion. I am just pointing out that there are plenty of atheists that give all kinds of proof to why the bible, the kuran and such are wrong. Now alot of those people believe in a calender that is thousands of years old, and has only predicted solar eclipses and such. Now we must trust that an interpretation of a few peoples finding on an ancient language means that 13.0.0.0.0 is the end of the world because of a word that means "crossing"?

I'm really sorry but I just couldn't watch past the part where they showed the "OMG EVIL ALIEN" skull. That's more of a hoax than the human skull with an orangutan jaw. Unfortunately that fooled a lot of people at the time too. God I love the internet.
