I'm surprised no one noticed that the picture taken by whoever (the one that was split into three parts) had a tropical tree (palm?) in it. However, right before the picture the author states that it can only be seen in "southern, very south, locations."

Agreed. Even though pole shift is an accepted theory it won't happen over a short time period. And I wouldn't the imagine the results to be devastating at all.
