Well then start posting .
Also, the points system is nice but I don't understand how it has anything to do with activity . I guess maybe people like the thought of being rewarded each time they post?

It's kind of like a carrot at the end of the stick. Not only do you get to know your fellow codexians by posting, but you also get a point! WOOO~! Positive reinforcement is good for getting results.

We should introduce a stick, too.
Lose a point for every time you don't post

You mean like, each time you read a thread but don't post a response?
Oh god. That can only lead to spam. D:
Seeing as how I read everything.

I didn't realize we were now on a points system. That's kinda weird. :\ That's just asking for some spam.

Normal members never had access to advanced level programs... before advanced was instituted, they were private level instead.

Oh dear. Better get some sort of plastic cover or something.... Don't want you to drool all over your computer and cause it to short circuit.

And even when advanced was instituted, for a while, I don't think they had any benefits. When I was advanced in the past I don't remember it, anyways.

These points can be found on the left side of your post under "points" lol and they are used for buying things at the IBStore located under fun and entertainment.
Edit: You get 1 point per post and 5 points for each topic you create I believe
Yeah try not to spam...spam is never good but If you have an opinion on a topic or something that can help someone out go for it and post ... I do but I post not for the points (even though they are nice) but I love getting to know people here this places is a great place !

That was an extremely clever ruse, Hawk.
Candy: Sometimes you could say that How are you's are spam... but you can also argue that it's not. Because, you know, those Getting to Know You topics help bring communities closer together.
Or some junk.

Yep see your point there ..... I guess in someways it could be spam and others it wouldn't ... My thoughts on it is if you think it would be spam and can cover it up so to say XD then don't

Seriously, I know I haven't been around long enough for my opinion to count, but I see Candy's point. If people are only motivated by that number rather than genuine interest or contribution to the topic at hand, then you'll end up with just crap posts taking up space-spam you have to sift through to get to the goods
