Article Number: 359
OnMouseOver Text: I'm gonna have to add something to the strum bar so it makes a clicky sound like the old controllers. I'm so used to the feedback; the silence throws me off.

I can't wait for this game to come out in the UK!

Supposed to be a better all around package than guitar hero...and that is a great game in itself.

Well I know you love Guitar Hero so if you say it's good then it really must be.

The problem is probably going to be the price. How much is it in the US?

The actual game is 60$. With equipment I think maybe 200$ sad.gif They are now selling a drum only set for like 80$ which is a great deal. Might be 90$ not sure.

That is a lot cheaper then what it will be over here. The whole thing could cost as much $400 from what I have read sad.gif

Rock Band is amazing, especially compared to Guitar Hero III (Which sucked all-around, IHMO.)

My only complaint is the hammer-ons, they're way to difficult to tell apart from the other notes.
Drums are wicked fun to play, especially if you've got any history actually playing drums. tongue.gif

It's $170 here in the USA, for the whole bundle.

GH2 was $170 here rolleyes.gif

I watched a video of someone playing the drums on youtube. Looked really fun. Apparantly if you are good on the drums in Rock Band the chances are you would be good with a real set. Any truth in that?

Guitar Hero II (you use the actual number for abbreviations) is the most accurately charted guitar game to date. Look at any guitar tab, the proof is there. Not to mention Rock Band failed to gain the rights to most songs and had to do crappy covers. The Number of the Beast cover is bad enough to make your ears bleed. But thats just my opinion. Rock Band is amazing because it combines all elements into a band. Rock Band II will be better then any guitar hero game to date, but as of now, Guitar Hero II is the purest form of playing guitar. No over charted whammy solos (GH3) and no poorly done covers (RB).

Just my two cents. Sorry if that came off harsh, didn't have a way of rewording it.

Guitar Hero II ...

Whoops, hold on there.
I guess I missed an 'I.' xD

Sorry about that, but no, Guitar Hero II is definitely the best of all four GH games, and 'better' (as far as solo goes) than Rock Band.

Edited and bolded that to prevent further discrepancies.
I wholly agree with you. wink.gif

Ehh, I wouldn't say that.
I'm fairly decent at drumming, and I can play Hard on Rock Band.
But I wouldn't go so far as to verifying the correlation between the two, or even that you being good at Rock Band drums = you being a drumming superstar.
I'm not a scientist, after all. smile.gif

well, i'm an "okay" guitarist but playing GH, i can't go higher than "hard" tongue.gif

and the drums are shitty on RB (at least for xbox) because you have to hit the pads before the beats... so bleh
