I'd rather not argue with an atheist over the existence of God for more than 2 minutes though.

And you believe in a magic invisible guy (I presume).
Everyone knows my ego is the center. Fool.

No worse than believing everything just suddenly existed.

I actually believe that I will probably never know how the universe was actually created.

If you are interested, research string theory. Don't get into the physics unless you understand it, but just a general overview of it's pretty crazy. I know the BBC did a documentary on it. It's really very interesting.

Very familiar with it. Done a good bit of reading here. Decent explanation. No proof. I require proof.

True say. According to my AP Physics teacher, the math works out. They are working on proving it through particle colliders.. I wanna see what comes of it

Isn't that why most people believe in 'heaven' ?
So they have a comfort that there's somewhere to go when they die to still be with the people they love and care about?
Comforts. Thinking you evolved from an ape isn't really a nice thought, but shit, look at apes and look at some
of today's people... there's so much resemblance.
&& I'm Atheist but I don't try to make people believe how I do.. just like Christians shouldn't try to force others to be Christian.
O.O

It's a good job we aren't descended from apes then isn't it.

*extant apes...
It has been pointed out to me that our ape-like ancestor would most likely still be classified as an ape, so "extant apes" is a better way of phrasing it.

What is the definition of an ape these days?

I would suspect that the exact definition is extremely long, and technical
And I don't know it.
